Breakaway is a placement agency for French individuals between 18 and 27 who want to spend a few months living and working in the UK.
The length of our clients’ stay in England varies from 4 weeks up to a year. Helping them find accommodation is part of our service.
We place most of our clients in Sussex. Considering how much the rent costs in this area, we try to find accommodation at reasonable prices. Living with a host family or sharing a house/flat with other people seems to be one of the cheapest options.
This is why we are constantly looking for host families and home owners, in Sussex, who have got a spare room and would be ready to rent it out to our French clients.
For you, hosting one of our clients could be the chance to learn and discover a completely different culture. It would also be the opportunity to earn an extra income.
Indeed, a host family usually gets between £70 and £90 a week, food excluded, and £100 to £120 a week if meals are provided.
All we ask is for you to supply our clients with a single room, and to allow them use of all household utilities. You also need to be CRB checked and comply with the Inland Revenue’s Rent a Room Scheme. Please go to www.hmrc.co.uk/individuals/tmarent-a-room-scheme.shtml to find out more.
All our French clients have previously passed interviews and other selective stages, therefore, we can guarantee you that they are responsible, kind and respectful individuals. They are adults who can look after themselves and do not need any particular assistance.
They all work full-time while they are in the UK, so you won’t have them around very much at all!
